Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. 
  • Good Computer Skills. 
  • Organizational Skills. 

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Healthcare Experience 

 

 

Responsibilities

Maintain clinical records and assure timely and accurately processing and completion of records. Provide clerical and phone support.

 

  • Maintain patient records. Assure documents are filed accurately and on a regular basis. Audit patient discharge charts thoroughly and follow up to provide missing data on a consistent basis. 
  • Photocopy materials, correspondence and/or reports as requested. Make and distribute client records. 
  • Order patient supplies in a timely manner. Assure that supply room is neat and clean, and proper inventories are maintained. 
  • Responsible for ordering materials and maintaining SOC packets necessary for admissions. 
  • Log faxes in appropriate lab book and verify that lab report is received. Fax blood work / labs on a daily basis and assure log books are accurate and complete. 
  • Answer phone in a courteous manner. Take accurate and complete phone messages and relay to the appropriate party. 
  • Provide assistance, guidance and/or direction to visitors, patients and staff. Ascertains the nature of their business; assists and/or directs visitors and patients to the appropriate location. 
  • Assist Medical Records Coordinator in the maintenance of employee files. Ensure all employee filing/scanning is up to date and timely. 
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned. Demonstrate flexibility with job responsibilities in all areas. 
  • Adheres to HMH`s Organizational competencies and standards of behavior. 
  • Lifts a minimum of 10 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 10 lbs. and stands a minimum of 4 hours a day.

Starting Minimum Rate

Minimum rate of $21.73 Hourly

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
